I decided to give the iPhone app a try. I locked in a lifetime subscription before that spring deadline, and I do indeed get the high bit-rate stream online. However, the iPhone app tells me I must SUBSCRIBE to the premium online service. I called XM, and the CSR told me the same thing. WTF? I get the service, I can listen to the service on any computer, but to use the iPhone app I have to pay the $2.99?
Anyone else encounter this? Are my expectation too high? Question

Call back and explain THIS, but this time ask for a CSR-Supervisor, the lower level CSRs don't know JACK, and will tell you whatever the script tells them to say to people who call, you need an experienced CSR that knows how to operate off the script.........

Still getting the same runaround, this time from Technical Support. The first level CSR wouldn't hand off to a supervisor. The Tech support guy kept telling me that the same line about subscribing, and said a supervisor was not available, but one would call me back at 5pm ET. I'll believe it when it happens.
I have to be honest, I don't really care about the app. I can get the stream using Wunderradio, but the display isn't as nice. It just bugs me that no one at XM seems to have the slightest idea what is going on. Mad

If your already getting premium XMRO for $2.99, then, you should not have to pay another $2.99 for the Iphone app (you already have it), what part of this didn't XM understand?

They just want the money. And, no surprise, no one called me back yesterday.

You could always just pay the $3/mo. Otherwise, good luck. Sometimes free does not always mean easy.

Regarding the XM app and iPhone...

So I, too, locked in lifetime and the free online, but now pay $2.99 for the iPhone app to work...Problem is, the Favorites within the app don't save from day to day. They will save and I will be in and out of the app and then...boom, they are gone. It is not directly related to syncing as I can sync it, undock it and they are there, but at sometime during the evening (?) they get wiped. Does anyone besides my husband and I have this problem?

The favorites disappear and you can't change the categories to reorder them or eliminate ones you don't like.
