That's a bullshit statement, you know. Education system never sees anywhere close to the amount they were supposed to get. |
Not really. The way it has been explained to me is that :
The lotto money was suppose to go to schools. So lets say the budget for the Miami-Dade County public school system was 50 million. They were suppose to get there 50 in taxes and revenue then the lotto money lets say 5 million was suppose to be extra. So then they could spend the extra 5 on new laptops, books, teachers, etc.
Instead though, they now call there budget 45 million and take that 5 and get their 50. Thus getting nothing extra. |
