We'll just send every sociopath to your house, where you can take care of them in your liberal utopian manner. I give you about five seconds before one of them pops off and teaches you a permanent lesson.

In the wake of another gun massacre, the cons should be considering how to stop the epidemic of gun crimes in the nation. This poll will give them the opportunity to pick out their favorite solution.

Sueaded - He shot at least 42 people on an Army base! There weren't enough guns there to stop him sooner; don't you see?
If the policy had been "everyone sleeps with their weapon" - he probably wouldn't have gotten more than a half dozen before being stopped.

More guns is more gooder.
With more guns we can shoot more shooters more often.

We can just convince everyone to use words to settle arguments, not violence. Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

Didn't you mean to say that with more guns more people will be killed?

There is nothing wrong with a little killin', so long as the right people are getting killed. Twisted Evil

A gun settles an argument much faster than words, often without having to fire it!

Your argument is reminiscent of Britain's Neville Chamberlain believing he had prevented an attack on England by Hitler's Nazi Germany. Words in the long run meant diddly. It is also reminiscent of our own state department believing a peaceful agreement had been reached with the Japanese in the days before Pearl Harbor. Words alone just don't get the job done.

Criminals don't have to LIKE the fact that I'm armed, but they DO have to respect it, no matter how cranky it makes them.

Good Idea, lets try it. The Next time we see a Muslim strap himself with some TNT, let's run up to him, and ask him how he's feeling at the moment.

I think Suede would volunteer to do that.

He stood 6 foot 6, weighed 245.
Kind of broad at the shoulders, narrow at the hip.

Big Tass.
Big Tass.
Big, bad Tass.

See, that is the part where your thinking becomes derelict. If I thought I was big and bad, I'd have jumped up, chewed through his neck, dropped a grenade down the hole, and stuck my boot up his ass to stop the grenade from coming out.

Instead, it is comparatively easy to simply unholster, try to get a good shot, and take it. Big and bad really don't come into play here. Besides, if you think that standing there doing nothing while your friends are getting shot to death is "big" OR "bad", then you've got more problems than I do.

That's the beauty of personal protection- anybody can do it, whether you're a twentysomthing commando, or a retired math teacher with high cholesterol and a physique like the Michelin Man. Or anything in between.

Nobody seemed to know where Tass called home
He just drifted into town and stayed all alone.
He didn't say much, kind of quiet and shy
And if you spoke at all, you'd just said hi to Big Tass.
Somebody said he came from New Orleans,
Where he got into a fight over a Cajun Queen.
And a crash and a blow from a huge right hand,
sent a Lousiana fella to the promise land.

Big Tass
Big Tass
Big bad Tass
